DIALOGUE 2026 | CISO | From Individual Readiness to Collective Defense: Building Healthcare’s Cyber Resilience Together

October 5, 2026, 11:00 am - 11:55 am CDT

As cyber threats increasingly target clinical continuity and emerging technologies expand the digital attack surface, securing executive alignment on cyber risk, intelligence sharing, and defensive strategy is more critical than ever. Erik Decker, VP and CISO, Intermountain Health and Jay Panchal, Managing Director, Cybersecurity, Privacy, and Resilience Practice will lead a CISO dialogue to examine how health system leaders are tackling these exact challenges to safeguard patient care and strengthen collective resilience.

The discussion would explore three interconnected areas:

  • Business Resilience & Downtime Preparedness: Where are healthcare organizations still not ready when a cyber incident directly disrupts clinical operations?
  • Information Sharing & Speed of Response: How can CISOs exchange actionable intelligence more quickly, directly, and with appropriate safeguards anonymously?
  • Collective Defense & Third-Party AI: What would a trusted collective defense model look like, and how should healthcare prepare for the emerging risks and dependencies associated with third-party and agentic AI?
SI CISO Dialogues are designed for peer-to-peer engagement to openly exchange strategies and challenges during an on-camera virtual event. Peer leaders will guide the discussion, and a short summary will be provided to the CISO Affinity Group following the call.
