Rural communities face significant challenges in accessing quality healthcare services compared to their urban counterparts. They are more likely to be uninsured\, live in areas with shortages of health care providers\, and travel long distances to the nearest hospital. These barriers and other social and environmental factors contribute to health disparities and poor health outcomes for underserved communities. \nHealth systems like UR Medicine are taking new approaches to address this pressing need with innovative collaborations to address rural care.
