DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Fireside Chat with Tina Freese Decker\, MHA\, MSIE\, FACHE\, President & CEO\, Corewell Health & Jason Joseph\, MBA\, Chief Digital & Information Officer; and Moderator Christy Harris Lemak\, PhD\, FACHE\, Executive in Residence at Scottsdale Institute. Many healthcare organizations are striving to become more customer-centric and digitally enabled\, but new pressures are creating an urgency to accelerate transformation. Consumers and providers successfully adopted telemedicine and other technologies during the pandemic; however\, the opportunities ahead go beyond these\, suggesting an enterprise-wide convergence of technology with all health system functions. The Scottsdale Institute (SI) recently sponsored a study to understand the leadership required for this transformation. This session will describe findings from the study; provide an in-depth\, case study of one system’s journey (Corewell Health); and offer tangible techniques for participants to accelerate transformation in their organizations. The study found\, and Corewell Health is demonstrating\, the importance of leaders (1) recognizing the convergence of technology and operations; (2) putting digital at the center of every part of their health system; (3) focusing on disciplined\, data-driven executive teaming; and (4) building a culture that emphasizes learning.
