SUMMARY:WEBINAR | Leveraging Lifestyle Medicine to Achieve the Quintuple Aim
DESCRIPTION:[vc_column_text] \n  \n\n[/vc_column_text]\n\n[vc_column_text]Leanne Mauriello\, PhD\, Founder & CEO\, Evolve Health Advisors; Kristi Artz\, MD\, Medical Director\, Lifestyle Medicine\, Corewell Health; Padmaja Patel\, MD\, Medical Director\, Lifestyle Medicine Center\, Midland Memorial Hospital; and Dexter Shurney\, MD\, MBA\, MPH\, President\, Blue Zones Wellbeing Institute\, Blue Zones LLC.  Dr. Mauriello leads a virtual fireside chat with three physician pioneers who are bringing Lifestyle Medicine into the forefront and paving the way for a future in which healthcare is effective\, equitable\, and sustainable. The majority of chronic disease burden and healthcare spend is attributed to preventable lifestyle risks. Lifestyle choices – what we eat\, alcohol and tobacco use\, sleep quality\, stress management\, and the amount of activity we get – are the most powerful predictors of health. Yet\, these areas receive the least amount of time and attention in typical healthcare interactions. Enter Lifestyle Medicine. This emerging medical specialty is gaining traction across the nation as healthcare organizations seek innovative\, effective\, and scalable ways to: \n\nOptimize the health of those they serve\nReduce healthcare spend\nImprove patient experience\nImprove provider satisfaction\nEliminate health inequities\n\nIn this fireside chat\, distinguished panel members Drs. Artz\, Patel\, and Shurney discuss how health systems are designing and leveraging Lifestyle Medicine services to achieve unparalleled health improvements. They also explain how Lifestyle Medicine can be utilized as an effective means for population health\, employee well-being\, and success with value-based care. The panel members\, all of whom do or have held leadership positions for the American College of Lifestyle Medicine\, speak to the exponential growth this new medical specialty experienced in 2022. They also share their perspectives on the impact of Lifestyle Medicine on the future of healthcare.[/vc_column_text]

SUMMARY:WEBINAR | From Desire to Deployment: Building a Precision Medicine Program
DESCRIPTION:Jackie Rice\, BSN\, RN\, Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Office\, Frederick Health. This webinar highlights how one mid-sized healthcare organization developed an advanced genomic medicine program that is fundamentally and positively changing the practice of medicine for physicians of all specialties\, and establishing truly personalized\, precision medicine today. The personal patient genome can now be stored as discrete data within the patient record\, which means it’s essential for all organizations to begin developing their strategies for incorporating genomics into their own clinical workflows\, including how they will store\, use\, access\, and share patient genetic data. With the right tools\, training\, support and guidance\, physicians and care teams will embrace this new era of medicine\, guide patient engagement\, and provide safer\, more effective care.

SUMMARY:WEBINAR | Building a More Efficient Digital Transformation
DESCRIPTION:Michael Black\, Managing Director\, and Sahithi Bayana\, Senior Manager\, Deloitte. Healthcare organizations often cite IT spend as a barrier to embarking on a Cloud transformation journey. However\, margin-improvement initiatives such as application rationalization and a refreshed operating model can self-fund major cloud transformations\, expediting the time to steady state and cost optimization. An organization’s self-funded transformation is a case study of the future on how Cloud can help an integrated health system improve its performance and IT spend\, provide better care\, and create an adaptable business model.

SUMMARY:WEBINAR | Unwinding the Federal Medicaid Continuous Coverage Requirements
DESCRIPTION:Kinda Serafi\, JD\, Partner\, Manatt. The current Medicaid continuous coverage requirement prohibits states from disenrolling individuals from Medicaid for the duration of the public health emergency (PHE) as a condition of accessing enhanced federal Medicaid funding. As these federal continuous coverage requirements come to an end\, state Medicaid agencies will undertake the massive task of redetermining eligibility for nearly every Medicaid enrolled person in the country\, over 90 million individuals.  This webinar reviews the federal requirements related to the continuous coverage requirements and discusses states’ priorities with respect to mitigating coverage loss.  The webinar also discusses the role other stakeholders—managed care plans\, providers\, and community-based organizations—can play in supporting states as we face the biggest coverage event since the passage of the Affordable Care Act.

SUMMARY:WEBINAR | Leveraging Technology to Drive Both Nurse and Patient Satisfaction
DESCRIPTION:Sherri Hess\, MS-IS\, Vice President Chief Nursing Informatics Officer; and Whitney Staub-Juergens\, DNP-HSL\, MSN\, RN\, CCRN-K\, NE-BC\, Vice President of Clinical Operations\, HCA Healthcare. The innovative use of technology has the power to improve both patient and nurse satisfaction. HCA has embraced this opportunity by piloting a virtual nurse program\, encouraging the use of mobile technology\, and using AI-based nurse scheduling systems. Through the virtual nurse program\, bedside nurses receive supplemental assistance in completing indirect care tasks\, such as completing admission history and discharge teaching. Mobile technology facilitates real-time access to patient information directly at the point of care\, improving nurse efficiency with the review and documentation of care tasks. AI-based scheduling systems enable HCA to create flexible staffing models that balance the necessary mix of skills with nurses’ scheduling preferences. The resultant impact has been an improvement in time to discharge\, a decrease in nurse staff turnover\, greater nursing career flexibility\, and improved patient satisfaction stemming from enhanced patient-nurse interactions and communications. \nSponsored by Meditech
