SUMMARY:WEBINAR | Health Equity Initiatives: Meeting Patients Where They Are and Humbling Yourself
DESCRIPTION:Jonathan James PhD\, Epidemiologist and Chief Strategy Officer\, Axis Medical Center\, presented with Wolters Kluwer\, Health.  Dr. James believes clinical teams serve patients\, rather than just treat them. More than 50% of Axis Medical Center’s patients live below the poverty line\, and more than 80% are best served by language other than English. Their stories have taught Dr. James that the first steps toward achieving health equity in his Minnesota community are letting go of preconceived notions and listening to patients.  As CFO of Axis Medical Center\, Dr. James and his team have put key measures in place to ensure their patients receive high quality care. Learn how they have leveraged multilingual care tools\, international staff\, point-of-care decision support\, and cultural connectivity to build trust with patients facing barriers to care and expand their access to vital services.

SUMMARY:WEBINAR | Delivering Integrated Behavioral Health Using Virtual Care
DESCRIPTION:Amanda May\, LMSW\, Manager\, Behavioral Health Integration\, and Marie Lee\, MEd\, PMP\, Manager – Access Care Technology\, Henry Ford Health. At present\, more than 40% of adults in the United States will experience mental illness and only about 3 in 10 will seek treatment. Patients are faced with shortages of behavioral health professionals and long wait times. Other patients do not seek treatment due to the stigma attached to seeking care for mental health. Addressing patient mental health in a comprehensive\, integrated manner in primary care\, using evidence-based treatment has proven successful for patients seeking care for mild to moderate behavioral health symptoms. Amanda and Marie discuss program set up and success using virtual care which has allowed a small number of therapists and psychiatrists to serve a large geographic area across over 30 primary care offices.

SUMMARY:WEBINAR | Cleveland Clinic’s approach to Intelligent Automation
DESCRIPTION:Bob Gross\, MBA\, Senior Director of Revenue Cycle Transformation\, Cleveland Clinic. Automation has continued to gain consideration and adoption across healthcare organizations as cost and margin pressures continue\, with digital transformation becoming an imperative not only for future cost avoidance\, but also for strategic advantage. However\, many organizations have piloted Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Intelligent Automation only to realize limitations and barriers that prevent their program from rapidly expanding\, namely: lack of high-value opportunities identified\, difficulty integrating with existing technology and process\, and difficulty managing infrastructure\, software\, and data. The Cleveland Clinic’s approach has embraced continuous improvement and automation expertise\, along with a rational implementation of new technology\, optimization of enterprise systems\, and caregiver engagement to break through these barriers and deploy a program with significant\, measurable impact.

SUMMARY:WEBINAR | Clinician Satisfaction with CDS: A Realizable Goal?
DESCRIPTION:Donald Levick\, MD\, MBA\, CPE\, FHIMSS\, Pediatrician & former CMIO\, Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN). Helping clinicians make safe and effective medication choices for their patients is the primary purpose of medication decision support systems. Unfortunately\, “alert fatigue” – an all-too-common experience today – diminishes the effectiveness of such systems and can be fueled by over-alerting\, under-alerting\, insufficient information\, and warnings presented at the wrong time. Dr. Levick shares his experience as a CMIO\, focused not only on patient safety and quality improvement\, but also clinician satisfaction with the EHR. His ongoing interest in effective CDS drove the implementation of targeted medication warning CDS\, including pharmacogenomics\, and increased medication-related alert acceptance to greater than 60%.

SUMMARY:WEBINAR | Three Key Years: Important and Easy Ways of Closing the Learning Gaps for All Children
DESCRIPTION:George Halvorson\, Former CEO\, Kaiser Permanente; Chairman\, Institute for InterGroup Understanding.  The first three years of life are the years when it is possible to make neuron connections by the billions in the brain of every child from every group\, and if we miss that opportunity\, the epigenetic reality is that the brain changes at four and it is impossible to catch up.  The learning gaps in our schools have not been closed in forty years because we need to close them at fifteen months and they can’t be closed at fifteen years.  The first three months of life have massive epigenetic impact on both brain and emotional development for every child. Three Key Years looks at those opportunities.

SUMMARY:WEBINAR | Information Technology Investments every Health System Leader Should Consider in 2022
DESCRIPTION:Scott Gaydos\, VP of Product\, and Kevin Cahalane\, MBA\, Director\, Optum Advisory Services.  Healthcare leaders will need to position their organizations for a new era of transformation by backing core IT investments to support alternative care models and to meet and exceed consumer/patient expectations. To that end\, information technology infrastructure investments and optimization of those systems should be a priority. In this webinar\, Scott and Kevin address how “digital” strategies are business strategies supported by technology; what technology platforms will support the care delivery evolution; how to drive clinical value out of the EHR and support site of care shifts; and the importance of secure cloud adoption to meet industry dynamics.

SUMMARY:WEBINAR | Healthcare’s Plight: What Executives Need To Understand About Cybersecurity
DESCRIPTION:Mac McMillan\, Chief Executive Officer\, CynergisTek. What do healthcare executives need to know to be more successful at protecting their institutions and the people they serve?  In this webinar\, Mac talks about the current threat picture\, and the need to shift our current cybersecurity approach. He also leads a discussion on what it means to prepare\, rehearse\, and validate what we are doing to make sure we are as prepared as we can be for an incident and hopefully mitigate its impacts\, because if we are to be successful in tomorrow’s threat world we need to shake off the reactive paradigm of the past and adopt a more proactive approach to cybersecurity that will take the fight to the threat. SUMMARY:WEBINAR | Winning the War for Talent in Healthcare
DESCRIPTION:John Mackey\, Client Partner\, and Flo Falayi\, PhD\, Client Partner\, Korn Ferry.  The ongoing and evolving presence of COVID has intensified the talent crisis in today’s healthcare workforce.  This challenge has adversely affected clinical and non-clinical talent to create a war on talent.  According to Korn Ferry’s research\, the methods for winning this war require a new and targeted focus. This webinar focuses in on three distinct areas of the war on talent and the accompanying ways to win each battle: (1) understanding how talent is experiencing change; (2) understanding why talent has left; and (3) understanding what will attract talent.  This webinar also covers Talent Flow Analysis\, the role of the alumni management programs\, and inclusive recruiting and hiring methodologies.
