SUMMARY:WEBINAR | Winning the War for Talent in Healthcare
DESCRIPTION:John Mackey\, Client Partner\, and Flo Falayi\, PhD\, Client Partner\, Korn Ferry.  The ongoing and evolving presence of COVID has intensified the talent crisis in today’s healthcare workforce.  This challenge has adversely affected clinical and non-clinical talent to create a war on talent.  According to Korn Ferry’s research\, the methods for winning this war require a new and targeted focus. This webinar focuses in on three distinct areas of the war on talent and the accompanying ways to win each battle: (1) understanding how talent is experiencing change; (2) understanding why talent has left; and (3) understanding what will attract talent.  This webinar also covers Talent Flow Analysis\, the role of the alumni management programs\, and inclusive recruiting and hiring methodologies.

SUMMARY:WEBINAR | Population Health: It Is Time
DESCRIPTION:Will Caldwell\, MD\, MBA\, SVP for Physician and Market Development\, Health Catalyst.  Most population health discussions focus on topics like chronic disease management\, closing care gaps\, and the role of preventative care. While these are important topics\, it’s time to rethink the meaning of population health and why it is more important now than ever. After years of hearing that value-based care is on the horizon\, Dr. Caldwell makes the case that emerging trends are finally aligning and will enable the true shift to population health. Join this discussion to learn how to create excitement about your role in helping others live healthier lives; ideas to raise awareness of the opportunity facing us; why it is important to rethink how we source and use data; ways to move from disease management to population health management; and the largest unrealized opportunity in managing the total cost of care and driving better outcomes.

SUMMARY:WEBINAR | How are Platform-Enabled Ecosystems Transforming the Industry toward the Future of Health?
DESCRIPTION:[vc_column_text]Simon Gisby\, Principal; Peter Micca\, Partner; Boris Kheyn-Kheyfets\, Healthcare Provider Strategy and Operations; and Christine Chang\, MPH\, Research Manager\, Deloitte.  Digital transformation is giving rise to new business models. Technological innovation has accelerated business transformation across nearly every industry and enabled new models that harness the power of platforms and ecosystems to deliver greater value to consumers. These platforms make the supplier of an underutilized asset easily accessible\, whether it’s a vacant room or a published article. Instead of competing on supplier relationships\, leading organizations now compete on unlocking underutilized assets to change or enhance the consumer experience. Platforms are a means to forge ecosystem plays. Many healthcare organizations are turning to ecosystem strategies wherein they do not need to own every asset on the platform\, but do need to develop or use capabilities\, products\, and services beyond their core to achieve the same ends. Simon\, Peter\, Boris\, and Christine explore these trends by presenting research into how leading health care organizations are approaching ecosystems and digital transformation. Through interviews with these leading organizations\, their health tech startup collaborators\, and health tech investors\, the speakers will illuminate how these platform-enabled ecosystems could move the healthcare industry closer to the future of health.[/vc_column_text]

SUMMARY:WEBINAR | Accelerating Adoption of Leading Clinical Practice Through Research Data
DESCRIPTION:Danessa Sandmann\, MPH\, Implementation Executive and Managing Editor/Director\, and Jackie Gerhart\, MD\, Physician\, Clinical Informatics\, Epic.  New medical discoveries can take more than a decade to achieve widespread use. The ongoing pandemic further highlighted faster ways to share information are needed.  Leveraging large\, comprehensive de-identified data sets can significantly reduce the time it takes to share data-driven observations as well as new learnings about best practices with clinicians\, public health\, and government stakeholders. Findings from the Epic team have been used to inform the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) and have prompted discussions on the potential impacts of missed cancer screenings in light of the pandemic.

SUMMARY:WEBINAR | Medicare Beneficiaries in Underserved Areas and Pharmacist Provider Status
DESCRIPTION:Scott Knoer\, MS\, PharmD\, FASHP\, Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer\, American Pharmacists Association; Snehal Doshi\, PharmD\, MBA\, Senior Vice President\, Ancillary and Support Services\, Wellstar Health System; and James Stevenson\, PharmD\, FASHP\, FFIP\, Chief Clinical Officer\, Omnicell. \nThe public health emergency caused by COVID-19 has highlighted inequities in healthcare access across many parts of our country.  For example\, Medicare beneficiaries in underserved\, often rural\, communities are forced to travel to the doctor for basic services\, such as immunizations\, diabetes care\, blood pressure screenings\, and cholesterol monitoring. Even though local pharmacists already may be performing these serves for commercially ensured populations\, there is no avenue for Medicare Part B to directly reimburse pharmacists for them.  New bipartisan legislation before Congress aims to close this gap. The bill does not expand pharmacists’ scope of practice in any state. Rather\, it simply allows pharmacists to provide Medicare beneficiaries with the same level of care that they are licensed to provide to other patients.  The panelists will demonstrate why this common-sense measure would solve real problems facing providers and patients.

SUMMARY:SI 2021 CIO Roundtable - Envisioning Every Angle: CIOs as Both Strategists and Operators

Our 2021 Fall Symposium offers the blueprints for success!\n[/vc_column_text]\n\n[vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1637792382058{background-color: #ffffff !important;}”] \nThe future of primary care. The need for clinical innovation. The role of public health. DEI. AI. High-tech disruptors. Economic recovery.\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text] \nThe new data-driven\, real-time system of health has multiple moving parts: How are you assembling them to fit your organization’s vision for the future? Find out how like-minded peer experts shared and compared at the Fall Symposium in Scottsdale\, Arizona. Video\, audio and presentation PDFs from the Symposium are available to all SI members.\n[/vc_column_text]\n[vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”linktreatment”] \n\n[/vc_column_text]\n\n[vc_tta_tabs style=”modern” shape=”square” color=”turquoise” gap=”1″ alignment=”center” active_section=”4″][vc_tta_section title=”ABOUT” tab_id=”1637784312310-62e1e564-5b92″][vc_column_text el_class=”linktreatment”]We couldn’t wait another year to see you\, so we’re meeting face-to-face this fall for in-person panel conversations about operationalizing a data-driven\, real-time system of health. But most important\, it’s a wonderful opportunity to greet colleagues in person\, share the experiences and hard-won lessons of the past 18 months and map our futures together. SI is unique in the industry for facilitating healthcare networking\, collaboration and education via social\, intimate settings\, and this gathering likewise affords Members personal access to key speakers\, panelists\, industry experts and CEOs. \nWho Should Attend\nThis invitation-only conference is an interactive experience for SI Member executives. SI conferences are intimate sessions\, designed for C-Suite executives (management\, information and security\, analytics\, innovation\, transformation\, strategy\, operations and finance)\, member officers\, board members and other business and clinical executives who would benefit from peer collaboration\, information sharing and networking. \nOur approach is more “participation” and less “presentation\,” so come prepared for relaxed\, informal and highly interactive discussion with senior management teams from other leading health systems. \nNew Location\nSI had faithfully patronized the Camelback Resort for years\, but recent renovations meant we lost our beloved Peace Pipe Room… so we’re moving to the Westin Kierland in Scottsdale\, just 10 miles away\, to replicate that warm\, intimate setting. \nReservations & Rates\nYour Symposium conference fee is included your SI membership dues; however\, attendees are responsible for their own hotel and travel expenses.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”AUDIO PLAYLIST” tab_id=”1638225648062-c01fcecc-31f6″][vc_column_text css=””] \n\n	\n \n \n	\n	\n	\n	\n Public Health - Whose Job is It & Who Pays for ItHigh-Trust Data and Predictive ModelingHow Non-Profit Health Systems Can Benefit from EntrepreneurshipRoundtable - SI 2021 Fall Symposium	\n	\n	\n\n	\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”SPEAKER BIOS” tab_id=”1637784313889-9701d632-370a”][vc_column_text] \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Aaron Martin\n EVP and Chief Digital and Innovation Officer\, Providence\n \n Aaron Martin is the Executive Vice President and Chief Digital and Innovation Officer for Providence where he leads Digital\, Marketing\, and Ventures for Providence.
