Andrew Rosenberg, M.D. is the CIO for Michigan Medicine (University of Michigan Health System and University of Michigan Medical School). From November 2017 to August 2018 he also served as the interim Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer for the University of Michigan. Dr. Rosenberg is a tenured Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Internal Medicine at the UMMS.
Previously, he was the inaugural Chief Medical Information Officer for the University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers. (June 2010-January 2016). In 2013 he created the role of the Executive Director of Information and Data Management for the U of M Medical Center Information Technology group.
Dr. Rosenberg has an undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Michigan. He then attended Johns Hopkins Medical School where he completed a residency in Internal Medicine. Dr. Rosenberg also completed a fellowship in Multidisciplinary Critical Care Medicine at the George Washington Medical Center. Subsequently, he was a Robert Wood Johnson Fellow at the University of Michigan Medical School, where he focused on Health Services Research and Bio-Informatics. He then completed a residency in Anesthesiology at the U of M. Dr. Rosenberg is also board certified in Clinical Informatics.
