Dr. Bonny Chen serves as the Vice President & Chief Health Information Officer for AMITA Health and Regional Chief Medical Information Officer for AdventHealth.  She earned her undergraduate degree and MD at the University of Michigan, completed her transitional residency year at the University of Hawaii, and her Emergency Medicine residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago.  Prior to her current role, she worked as an Emergency Medicine attending physician at the AMITA hospitals and served as the Chief Medical Officer at Adventist Hinsdale and La Grange Hospitals. Bonny also works as an International Surveyor for the Joint Commission.  In her current role as Chief Health Information Officer, Bonny is responsible for Health Informatics at the 19 AMITA acute care and specialty hospitals on Cerner, Epic, and Meditech.
