David Jackson

David Jackson brings more than 20 years of experience in healthcare from both the provider and the payer perspective.  As Vice President, Managed Analytics, he currently leads Optum’s end-to-end managed analytics services offerings, including full outsourced analytic solutions for both payer and provider clients.

Prior to joining Optum, David spent 8 years at IBM Watson Health and its predecessor companies.  As Vice President of Professional services, he led a provider analytics and consulting services organization that leveraged IBM Watson Health assets to help hospitals and health systems respond to various business challenges in the current healthcare environment.

In addition, David previously served as the director of health care analytics for Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, where he led corporate analytics and business intelligence initiatives. Most notably, David led the growth and development of analytics in the organization from a small team of analysts to a diverse and recognized discipline that spanned most health plan key business functions.

David holds a Master of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of South Carolina, in Columbia, South Carolina and a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotion from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
