David Oakley

David Oakley is the Vice President of Digital Health & Development at AdventHealth System. In his role he is responsible for managing the organization’s consumer and digital workplace portfolios and leading teams with a focus on creating and curating person-centric web-based technologies.

Teams under the Digital Health and Development umbrella include Consumer Products (.com strategy and patient engagement tools), Digital Workplace Products (Sharepoint), Engineering, Customer Relationship Management (Salesforce), Agile Activation, and Product Support.

Prior to this role, he held a number of positions at Florida Hospital, Adventist Health Systems’ flagship hospital in Orlando such as Director of Consumer Technologies and Director of Web Engagement and Development. Before joining Florida Hospital, David served as a Healthcare Reimbursement Consultant at MJ Associates Healthcare Consulting, Inc.

David has presented on health care and development strategy topics at conferences such as HIMSS, Gilbane, athenahealth’s More Disruption Please, DrupalCon and the Scottsdale Institute.

He also is a recording artist with his band Empire Theory and enjoys record production and engineering.
