Jennifer Fogel is Vice President, Regional Nursing Informatics Officer (rNIO) at Northern Light Health (NLH) in Brewer, Maine. Her responsibilities include strategic oversight for clinical informatics at AR Gould Hospital, a 56-bed community hospital and Eastern Maine Medical Center, the system’s tertiary facility. She enjoys promoting informatics as a nursing specialty and transforming culture.
Jen has spent her entire forty-one-year career within NLH with over ten years focused on clinical informatics. She received a diploma in nursing from Eastern Maine Medical Center School of Nursing, her BSN from St. Joseph’s College, and her Master of Science in Nursing Informatics from Walden University. She is also board certified in Nursing Informatics. Jen recently co-authored a publication on implementation of an essential clinical dataset, an initiative to reduce time in the EHR thus increasing nursing time at the bedside
