John Long joined UW Health as Vice President, Enterprise Analytics in October 2017.
John plays a key role in the overall administration, direction, and oversight of analytics and reporting and research to support clinical, financial and client reporting, product development and business strategy.
He is also responsible for the development and execution of analytical activities to provide senior leadership with information and tools for strategic decision making and planning, healthcare utilization and costs, affordability opportunities, reimbursement projects and issues, population health and clinical outcomes, provider patterns and variations, trends and forecasting, data and informatics needs, emerging technologies.
Prior to joining UW Health, John worked at Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston SC as the Chief Analytics Officer where he was responsible for the Epic program, clinical ancillary applications and analytics. Prior to MUSC led the reporting, data warehouse and DBA teams for Fresenius Medical Care and Health Dialog, both in the Boston area.
John holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.), Industrial Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston Massachusetts and his Master of Science (M.S.), Computer Software Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston Massachusetts.
