Kevin Hansen, PharmD, MS, BCPS is Assistant Director of Pharmacy at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, N.C. Dr. Hansen provides leadership and operational oversight for pharmaceutical compounding and pharmacy perioperative services. He serves as the Residency Program Director for the Health-System Pharmacy Administration residency program. In addition, Dr. Hansen serves as adjunct faculty for the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy.
Dr. Hansen earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in Erie, PA and completed an ASHP-accredited PGY1/PGY2/MS Health-System Pharmacy Administration residency at the University of North Carolina Medical Center. He is board-certified in pharmacotherapy through the Board of Pharmacy Specialties.
Within Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Dr. Hansen is involved in several committees and initiatives related to his practice interests of pharmaceutical compounding, handling hazardous drugs, medication and compounding safety, drug shortage management, and pharmacy perioperative services. He has taken a lead role in developing multidisciplinary teams, such as the Pharmaceutical Compounding Advisory Council and the Hazardous Drug Committee. He also provides pharmaceutical compounding guidance and standardization across Cone Health, a 6-hospital health system.
