Mike Brown is vice president of IT Operations for Baptist Health, providing leadership for the development, implementation and management of computer applications and technologies to support the health system.
In this role, he oversees the IT Service Desk, Hospital IT Support, Epic Finance and Revenue Cycle, Project Management and Change Control, and IT Operations for budget, finance, audit and contract management. He works with senior leadership and leaders within each hospital market to support a shared systemwide technology strategy focused on business improvement and innovation, profitable growth and competitive advantage.
Brown has 20 years of information technology experience in the healthcare industry. He was promoted to his current position in 2019 after serving in several positions for Baptist Health, including executive director for IT Operations.
Brown holds a Master of Science with an emphasis in management from Indiana Wesleyan University, and a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, with a minor in computer science, from Bellarmine University.
He is a member of the Healthcare Information Management System Society, the American College of Healthcare Executives, and the Kentucky Health Information Exchange Coordination Council – Interoperability and Standards.
An ordained deacon, Brown is an active member of his church. His hobbies include golf, scuba diving, working in the yard, and spending time with his wife, Jessica, and his daughters, Alyssa and Makayla.
