Todd Dunn

As Vice President of Innovation, Todd will have accountability for leveraging Atrium Health’s assets and people to accelerate innovation. He will collaborate with leaders at all levels of the organization to develop and implement a broad innovation framework that is strategically aligned with the organization’s vision and strategy, and that will enable Atrium Health to reach the next level of breakthrough and impactful innovation.

Todd is an innovator and entrepreneur. He has focused on innovation for more than 20 years, by not only working but learning from organizations and colleagues at Cisco, Siemens, McKesson, GE and Intermountain Healthcare. He has educated teams in the practical application of innovation theory, methods and tools to improve innovation outcomes and impact for consumers and companies alike. He most recently led Intermountain Healthcare’s Transformation Lab overseeing internal and external partner collaboration and innovation strategy.

Todd also has led the piloting and investing with hundreds of early stage startup companies. His work and viewpoints have been featured in Fortune magazine, US News and World Report, Becker’s Hospital Review, Information Week, Healthcare IT News, the Steve Blank Entrepreneur blog and through keynote addresses for a number of organizations. His presentation, “Design for People,” is highlighted in Clayton Christensen’s book, Competing Against Luck.

Todd was also recently chosen to be a certified Strategyzer Innovation Consultant by Alex Osterwalder. He is currently an adjunct faculty member at the University of Utah, where he teaches as part of the Lean Startup I-Corp team. And, he is a children’s book author.

Todd grew up in Southern Georgia and loves the South. He is married to Wendie and they have three kids: Oliver, Emma and Ross. Oliver plays baseball in the New York Yankees organization, Emma is a pre-med student, and Ross is a senior who is aiming to follow his brother’s path to pro baseball. Their family loves great meals, sports and spending time with friends and family. When he gets a bit of free time, Todd enjoys golfing with his family and friends or riding his bike.
