Mr. Neumann has more than 40 years of professional experience in the global healthcare industry. His background includes executive leadership, information system planning, project management for complex organizations, software development and executive management for healthcare providers, software/service vendors and professional services firms. He has in-depth expertise in enterprise-wide, electronic healthcare records (EHR) and healthcare specific Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, including strategy and roadmap development, system assessments, acquisition and implementations in support of clients’ operational processes, including EHR, clinical data repositories, computerized provider order entry (CPOE), clinical documentation, clinical content management, physician and patient portals, enterprise scheduling, patient access, revenue cycle, contracting, finance, human capital management, supply chain management (SCM), business process redesign, clinical adoption, business transformation and change management.

He brings specific experience in leading national consulting practices focused on ERP systems, healthcare SCM and Value Analysis, healthcare logistics, eProcurement, Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO), and Health Information Exchange (HIE). Mr. Neumann is a frequent speaker at national events and regularly contributes articles to national publications.

      Jordan Asher, MD, MS

      Dr. Jordan Asher is Executive Vice President and Chief Physician Executive at Sentara Healthcare. His role concentrates on creating innovative models of care delivery as well as providing national thought leadership directed towards the future of health care.

      Dr. Asher is dedicated to championing quality, fostering clinical effectiveness and further cultivating a culture of excellence in the delivery of clinical services across the continuum of care. He oversees system-wide Clinical Quality and Safety, Clinical Effectiveness, the Sentara Quality Care Network (SQCN), the High Performance Design process and Clinical Performance Improvement initiatives.

      Previous Experience

      Before joining Sentara Healthcare, Jordan served as Chief Clinical Officer for Ascension Care Management (ACM), a subsidiary of Ascension. Prior to ACM, Jordan was Physician Network Executive for Saint Thomas Health in Nashville, where he led the implementation and design of physician alignment strategies. In addition, Dr. Asher served as the Assistant Dean and Interim Clinical Chair of Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center. In this role, he forged a partnership between Saint Thomas Health and the university to establish graduate medical residency programs in several areas including internal medicine, general surgery and emergency medicine. He also served as Medical Director for a large private practice, incorporating multiple specialties while practicing internal medicine specializing in hypertension.

          Andrew Rosenberg, MD

          Andrew Rosenberg, M.D. is the CIO for Michigan Medicine (University of Michigan Health System and University of Michigan Medical School). From November 2017 to August 2018 he also served as the interim Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer for the University of Michigan. Dr. Rosenberg is a tenured Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Internal Medicine at the UMMS.

          Previously, he was the inaugural Chief Medical Information Officer for the University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers. (June 2010-January 2016). In 2013 he created the role of the Executive Director of Information and Data Management for the U of M Medical Center Information Technology group.

          Dr. Rosenberg has an undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Michigan. He then attended Johns Hopkins Medical School where he completed a residency in Internal Medicine. Dr. Rosenberg also completed a fellowship in Multidisciplinary Critical Care Medicine at the George Washington Medical Center. Subsequently, he was a Robert Wood Johnson Fellow at the University of Michigan Medical School, where he focused on Health Services Research and Bio-Informatics. He then completed a residency in Anesthesiology at the U of M. Dr. Rosenberg is also board certified in Clinical Informatics.

                  Scott Weingarten, MD, MPH

                  Scott Weingarten, MD, MPH

                  Scott Weingarten, MD, MPH is a Board member and Chief Value Officer for Vytalize. He is a Board member for 5 different organizations. Board certified in internal medicine and a fellow of the American College of Physicians, Dr. Weingarten has published approximately 100 articles and editorials on healthcare quality improvement, clinical decision support, and related topics, and has authored a number of chapters on improving the quality of patient care in leading internal medicine textbooks. He has given more than 300 presentations on clinical decision support and related topics throughout the United States and internationally.

                  Dr. Weingarten has held positions on myriad national committees dedicated to improving patient outcomes, including the National Academy of Medicine’s Committee on Clinical Decision Support, the American Heart Association’s “Get With The Guidelines” program, and the quality improvement committee of the board of directors of St. Joseph’s Health System. He is currently a Board of Director for the Scottsdale Institute.  At Cedars-Sinai, he has received the President’s Award, the Golden Apple Teaching Award (as voted by the medical residents), and the Alumnus of the Year (as voted by the Medical Staff). Scott was Co-Founder of Stanson Health which had significant market share for machine learning based clinical decision support and analytics.   He sold Stanson to Premier.  Dr. Weingarten was the co- founder, president and chief executive officer of Zynx Health, which was the leader for order sets and care plans for electronic health records. Scott sold Zynx Health to the Cerner Corporation and later to the Hearst Corporation. He is a co-inventor of three software patents granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

                  After graduating from UCLA’s medical school, Dr. Weingarten completed his internship, residency and fellowship in internal medicine at Cedars-Sinai. He later participated in a National Center for Health Services Research Fellowship at the RAND/UCLA Center for Health Policy Study. During the fellowship, he earned a Master of Public Health degree at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. Dr. Weingarten has also worked as a primary care physician at Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills as part of the Southern California Permanente Medical Group.  He helped launch Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills’ Ambulatory Quality Improvement program. He is a Board member for the Downtown Women’s Center (DWC) which houses and feeds homeless women in downtown Los Angeles.  He is also a Trustee of Charles Drew University School of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles, which is the second most diverse private university in the US.

                      Paul Tang, MD, MS, is Adjunct Professor at the Stanford Clinical Excellence Research Center (CERC) and an internist at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF). Previously Dr. Tang was Vice President and Chief Health Transformation Officer at IBM Watson Health, and Consulting Associate Professor of Medicine at Stanford University. Prior to that, he was Vice President, Chief Medical Information Officer of PAMF and Chief Innovation and Technology Officer of the David Druker Center for Health Systems Innovation, a disruptive innovation center focused on improving health. Dr. Tang’s professional career has been dedicated to leveraging health information technology (HIT) and public policy to improve the quality of health care and to enhance the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities. Dr. Tang has chaired multiple informatics professional associations, including the American Medical Informatics Association. He co-chaired the US Health and Human Services’ Health Information Technology Policy Committee from 2009-2017. He is an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine (formerly Institute of Medicine) and chaired a NAM patient safety committee which published two reports: Patient Safety: A New Standard for Care and Key Capabilities of an Electronic Health Record System. Dr. Tang earned his BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and his MD from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).
