Brett Oliver, MD, CMIO, Baptist Health; and Matt Lungren, MD, MPH, Chief Data Science Officer, Microsoft. While AI adoption in healthcare is on the rise, many organizations are having to deploy large-scale IT projects just to access and evaluate models. To get AI into the hands of clinicians faster with minimal cost, Baptist Health has implemented a network that enables rapid adoption of AI imaging algorithms and pilot rollouts to allow for a real-world “try before you buy” approach. This is increasingly important in these early stages of AI as organizations are learning new workflows and governance. Dr. Oliver shares Baptist Health’s experience with a number of AI models they have piloted, some early data and lessons learned.
