The Care Connectivity Consortium

Karl West, Associate VP, Marc Probst, CIO, and Stan Huff, MD, CMIO, Intermountain Healthcare, provide an update on the progress of the Care Connectivity Consortium, formed by HIT pioneers Geisinger Health System (PA), Kaiser Permanente (CA), Mayo Clinic (MN), Intermountain Healthcare (UT), and Group Health Cooperative (WA). The goals are to share patient information as patients move between systems and safer care through better data availability. Each organization works independently to meet federal interoperability standards and each has been a leader in developing EHRs within their systems.
