Through its IS operating model roadmap, UWH is focused on becoming a trusted partner, agile processes and providing delightful service. VP IS Business Relationship Management Stacy Rasmussen, Director IS Business Relationship Management Sue Peterson, and Director, IS Applied Science Frank Liao are leading the charge.

Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago has been on the cutting edge of healthcare for years, and their Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) program is leading the way. As part of their Telemedicine program, RPM involves wearables, sensors, implanted monitors, mobile apps, and patient-generated health data.

SI's IT Benchmarking Program is healthcare-specific, anonymous and free. It provides five-year trending, what-if analyses and 1:1 support. Currently, there are more than 75 participating organizations, with 611 hospitals and 10,890 ambulatory facilities involved. Goals include growing the program, employing greater automation and streamlining surveys.

Today's group discussed trends in tech, policy regulations, and business, as well as clinical operations in the healthcare industry. Cyber security concerns were addressed and goals were proposed for addressing them. Tech trends included the use of devices and sensors, the shift to cloud and analytics, and consumerism/convenience.
